q. What does Agust D mean?
S: Agust D backwards is Dt suga. Dt is D Town, the name of the hiphop crew in Daegu that I used to be active in.q. Is it different from being BTS’ SUGA?
S: I suppose so? Writing lyrics with a beat in this style is difficult to do for BTS. In Agust D mode I can express my opinion/what I think more freely.q. It seems you have worked on this album for very long.
S: Since long ago I’ve been thinking of songs to put (on the mixtape). There are songs that I only wrote 1 month ago. Always or from time to time I make a note of my emotions/how I feel, work on it, now it’s a everyday routine.q. The lyrics are impressive. I can feel your distress about being an Idol and a Rapper.
S: Well, It’s not a tremendous thing. I am an Idol. I don’t deny it. But at the same time, I’m just a person who does music. And someone who loves Hip Hop. These are some thoughts that I include.q. Is there a side of SUGA you want to show in the future?
S: Using an analogy, I would be the colour white. No matter what colour, I want to be a person who can do everything well. As an Idol as well as a Rapper.q. Any last words to your fans?
S: There is a lot of different music compared to music in BTS. Agressive songs, and funny songs. Don’t be burdened by it, listen to them and have fun. Thank you
